Life Coach Lessons… “Restroom Gratitude”

Last month while sitting in the Barcelona airport, waiting to continue the Fedonczak European tour, I had a bit of an epiphany in a most unusual location. This amazing vacation included three countries, countless delicious meals and gallons of excellent Italian, French and Spanish coffee. Since we had a long layover at the Barcelona Airport awaiting our flight to Madrid, I had an occasion to visit the restroom. It was the loveliest smelling restroom ever, and, as a result, I felt a little shift in perception. Why do I comment upon an airport restroom? Is my supply of writing ideas really running that low? I’ll tell you why…it’s about being grateful for the little things. That level of appreciation only comes from inconvenience, and, as parents, I believe we don’t give inconvenience enough credit as a teaching tool.
